About

Hey there! I’m Addy—just your average Alberta dude who’d rather be knee-deep in pine needles than stuck indoors. Welcome to Camping with Addy, where I spill the beans on all things camping, from the gear that saves my butt in the bush to the spots around here that make you go, “Yep, this is why I live in Alberta.”

Born and bred in this big, wild province, I’ve been hooked on the outdoors since I could toddle after my first campfire. Whether it’s dodging mosquitoes at Lake Louise, wrestling a tent up in Kananaskis, or just kicking back with a cold one under the stars, camping’s my jam. Alberta’s got some of the busiest, most epic campgrounds around, and I’m that guy who’s always tinkering with gear to make it work better—or at least look cool while I’m failing miserably.

This blog? It’s me sharing what I’ve learned from too many nights in the wild—think of it as your shortcut to camping like a pro (or at least faking it ‘til you get there). I’m obsessed with finding the best tents, gadgets, and random doodads that make life outside comfier, and yeah, I’ll hook you up with where to snag ‘em (looking at you, Amazon). My tagline’s “Gear Up and Camp Out with Addy” for a reason—let’s get you ready to roll, Alberta-style.

When I’m not out dodging bears or testing how waterproof my boots really are, I’m here, scribbling tips and tricks so you can love this camping life as much as I do. Stick around—I’ve got stories, gear hauls, and maybe a few dumb mistakes to share. Let’s camp like we mean it!
